As you may have heard, effective April 1, 2021, your contributions to the Oregon-Washington Carpenters-Employers Vacation Savings Trust Fund (Vacation Fund) will no longer be held and distributed by the Fund administrator (The William C. Earhart Co.). Instead, your contributions will be sent to Qualstar Credit Union, where you will have more immediate access to those funds. We currently serve over 13,000 Carpenters, and are excited to have the opportunity to serve even more members of the CarpentersUnion.
As a member of Qualstar, your Vacation Fund contributions will be automatically deposited into a “Vacation Fund Access” account in your name at the credit union, within one business day after we receive remittance from the Fund administrator. We hope these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) will answer all of your questions about this change and how your Vacation Fund account will work once the change is implemented.
If you do not return a completed application to establish Qualstar membership, you will not have immediate access to your Vacation Funds. Instead, you will need to call us at the number below to request a check each time you want a distribution of your Vacation Fund contributions.
